Apply Online 4 Weeks Before EDD
Submit the Confinement Nanny's Work Permit application via the MOM website. You will receive an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter in about a week.
Send IPA to the Nanny
Once approved, share the Employee Copy of the IPA with the nanny so she can prepare accordingly.
Nanny Verifies IPA
The nanny checks the IPA's validity using the official MOM portal.
Get Medical Insurance
Purchase at least S$15,000 medical coverage for her employment period, which typically costs ~S$100 including GST.
Notify Nanny After Birth
Inform the nanny once your baby is born so she can proceed with next steps.
Apply for SG Arrival Card
Nanny submits her Arrival Card via the ICA website or mobile app before entering Singapore.
Submit DE Number
She must send you the 'DE Number' from her Arrival Card for immigration processing.
Issue Work Permit After Arrival
Once she arrives, request the final Work Permit issuance from MOM. Apply for a full term (usually 28+ days).
Pay Monthly Levy
