Nanny took great care of my physical well being, and would wake up at ungodly hours (usually coinciding with my pump timings) to serve tonic soups which she had begun brewing in the morning. She constantly reminded me to get enough rest throughout the day, knowing that I was a light sleeper. She would help to vacuum and mop the house, even though this was not within her job scope. Nanny also cooked up a feast when our extended families came over to visit. She often lent us a listening ear when we encountered problems while navigating first time parenthood, and offered sound advice and comfort.
