Auntie Corrine was an amazing cook - we were seriously impressed and even ended up learning some recipes from her! She prepared all the traditional confinement foods including herbal teas and soups, but also was able to prepare meals from a wide variety of cuisines. We had both asian and western meals, including steam fish, spare ribs, pork trotters, soup noodles, curry, and more. She was very flexible and able to prepare meals from whatever ingredients we got from the supermarket. Even the bread that she served at breakfast was all baked from scratch! She also made sure we had a balanced diet; with a lot of fruit and vegetables at every meal.

It is very obvious that Auntie Corrine is incredibly experienced with looking after newborns. We made it our mission to learn as much from her as we could in terms of techniques to soothe our crying baby and help him sleep, when and how often to change his diaper, how to clean / bathe him, how to feed and burp him, and much more. That said, she was also very respectful of our personal preferences (e.g. if we wanted to breastfeed vs. formula feed, when we wanted to introduce a pacifier), especially where some best practices in the US differ from recommendations in Asia. Auntie Corrine was incredibly organized and carefully took notes every time she fed our baby or changed his diaper.

The first few weeks postpartum were incredibly challenging and Auntie Corrine is 100% the reason I had such a good experience and was able to get a meaningful amount of rest and sleep. She was able to anticipate all our needs and would always be ready with sterilized pumping equipment for me, ready to collect and store the milk, ready with clean laundry for our baby, ready to help soothe the baby, ready with 3 meals a day and snacks, ready with a lactation massage, and so much more. She genuinely enjoys spending time with babies and would spend time engaging our baby during his wake period and helped him with daily exercises. She kept an incredibly clean household (our stove looks brand new every night!).

We truly had a wonderful experience with Auntie Corrine as our confinement nanny and feel very lucky to have been able to work with her. I would recommend her with no hesitation to other mummies, and would also happily hire her again if we have another baby. Auntie Corrine is incredibly experienced, was wonderful with our baby, and also helped provide me with a level of care that I much needed through the postpartum period. We were impressed by how energetic she was - she provided all the care outlined above with a smile and was always available to help us, no matter what time of day, and she never got tired! Even when as parents, we made choices that made her life more difficult (we wanted to exclusively breastfeed but it took 5 days for my milk to come in, so the first 5 days were incredibly challenging and the baby was up all night), Auntie Corrine was respectful of our decisions and supported us 100%. We liked that Auntie Corrine had worked with such a diverse range of parents before, across various countries, because she was very adaptable. She allowed us to determine what kind of confinement experience we wanted (not too strict / traditional), but also educated us on why certain practices were important.

Once I arrived at Mummy's house, 1st thing I need to share with her health condition eg. any sensitive food and talk abt physical recovery after birth during her postpartum period. Especially is mummy and daddy 1st child. Me(nanny) had to baby's daily record.

Sometime, I will ask mummy'how are you feeling, any pain? ' Any comment on my cook? Show that I care for her as well to reduce her stress.
