We engaged Selly jie as our confinement nanny for 2 months (Feb-Apr 2023) after hearing good reviews from my younger sister who had engaged her in Singapore a year earlier. Selly jie flew over to London to do confinement for me as my husband annd I are based here. She was accommodating in her start date and only counted the first day of confinement as the day I gave birth since I had a planned induction and only gave birth on the 4th day in hospital after an emergency c-sect.

Selly jie helped to brew red date tea and prepared some meesua so that my husband could bring these to the hospital for me to eat after my delivery. Once I was discharged and returned home, she took over the care of my baby girl 24/7 so that I can have sufficient rest to recover from my c-sect wound.

During my confinement period, she took meticulous care of my little girl, does all the night feeds and washed all my pump parts and bottles. She also cooked nutritious meals, boiled red date tea and brewed confinement soup packets for me everyday. Selly Jie also helped to wash, hang and fold both baby’s and our clothes as well as tidy up our house from time to time while she was here.

Selly jie taught us the correct way of burping the baby, bathing the baby and she was patient in helping me during the initial weeks to learn how to latch the baby correctly. We had lots of hands-on opportunities during the last 2 weeks so that we could be confident taking care of the baby by ourselves after she left.

Overall, I would recommend Selly jie for her confinement services.
