Nanny not only cooks amazing Chinese style dishes, she also makes the effort in plating. Resulting in dishes that are not only nutritious, yummy but also pleasing for the eyes. Additionally, she is very flexible with using the ingredients that I prefer to eat and whipping up different variations of dishes and even experimenting with new fusion dishes such as Banana cheese prata and cream of salmon with Bakchoy.

Baby loves nanny, and often smiles at her! I love it when nanny speaks lovingly and laugh at baby’s antics when baby is awake. My baby fusses at lot more at night, resulting in nanny having no to wake up multiple times to soothe her. From the baby cam, I often see nanny gently patting baby’s bum to coax her back to sleep after her night feeds. Very thankful for the help provided especially at night which allowed me to recover quickly.

What I really liked about the nanny was she provided all the theoretical and practical knowledge I needed to care for my baby and myself but never imposes or force me to follow her instructions. She also gives me advice on taking care of myself such as to shower in the afternoon instead of night, to use the herbal bath water, drink warm red date water and to always blow dry my hair. However, if I have a cheat day or prefer doing things a certain way, she doesn’t make me feel bad.

All in all, I am very satisfied with Nanny Tan Lay Hong. She was recommended by a friend to me, and I would recommend her further to my own friends and re-hire her if I have a second child. She is easy-going and does her job well. Perhaps my only qualm is that she gives me way too much food, which doesn’t help with my goals to slim down after birth.
