Auntie Lay Hong's cooking skill is superb, probably one of the key reasons that make my confinement period enjoyable. She has experience in setting up her own eatery which explains her expertise in cooking a wide variety of food and understanding of ingredients. She also will ask for our preference and make adjustments if required, very accommodating. My husband had gout issue so she also took note of that in the choice of ingredient. She is also very open to teaching, which allowed both my maid and myself learned some cooking skills from her.

I felt really assured by her baby care skills that prompted me to extend her for another 2.5 weeks (would have opted for longer if not for Chinese New Year). She is experienced in various aspects and displayed a calm and ease handling of baby. One key plus point for me was her cleanliness. She is also highly alert for night care, which enabled me to really rest well during confinement where she took care of the baby for all nights. Her professionalism and responsibility gave a lot of assurance, which also allowed my husband and I to take some breaks to go out of the house and have her look after the baby at home.
