She treated our baby like her own and it was clear that genuinely cared for him. She sang to him, talked to him, sayang him and stayed calm, even when the baby fusses at night or during her rest times.

She was skilled at feeding and burping the baby, and made showering a delight for baby - he never once cried during bathtime.

Also, she continues to look after the baby during her daily afternoon break without complaints even though she didn’t have to, so that I can rest up.

Nanny is very patient and would feed the baby at his own pace - pausing every now and then to burp him before continuing. It can be tedious at times, especially when baby fusses or falls asleep, but she didn’t rush him or force him to drink to “save time”. She also respected my decision whether I wanted to use breastmilk or formula milk, and even helped to cook certain foods to increase my breastmilk.

Aunty Sally is cheerful, proactive and easygoing, which helped alot. We were initally cautious that we were inviting a complete stranger into our house, but were quickly relieved that her jovial and positive demeanour saw her fitting well into the household.

There were even times she went above and beyond her duties. She would help to look after my 2-year-old toddler by playing and interacting with him when I was busy. When my toddler had diarrhoea, she cooked porridge for him even though her caregiving duties didn’t include him.

Overall, we were very fortunate to have Auntie Sally’s help during confinement and the fact that we extended her from 1 month to 3 months is testimony of her service.

I’m grateful and highly recommend her as I believe other mummies will benefit from having her around.
