Aside from the usual dishes which were already tasty, Aunty Tong also prepared bread, kuehs, and soyabean drink from scratch, which I thought were extremely tasty and surprising. What I also especially liked is that because I am quite picky with food, she catered my nutrition to the types of food I liked as well.

Aunty Tong was very prompt with checking on baby's needs. As a first-time mum, she also took me through all the basics very patiently (and even explained the logic behind all the routines) which I really needed as we didn't attend any classes prior to baby's arrival. She even went over and beyond to tidy up the house and clean a little, and wasn't nitpicky about what was or wasn't her scope of work, which I was very thankful for.

Aunty Tong was a very warm, motherly figure to me during the confinement. She gave me friendship and comfort when I needed it, and space also when I needed that. When she was around, I always felt very assured about my and my baby's well-being.

Aunty Tong is a wonderful nanny who provided me much-needed comfort as a first-time mum. Before giving birth, I has been wary about having a 'stranger' live with us, but in the 2 months she was with us, she had become almost like family, without overstepping any boundaries. She always took my considerations to mind when it came to food, and even what I wanted to do (bathing, going out, etc).

She loves cooking, and does Chinese food very well. She even made desserts when we had visitors over, which I thought was very kind of her as it was obviously not within her scope of work. Aunty Tong even made soyabean drink, bread and kuehs from scratch for my snack times, which were a tasty respite from the usual confinement menu.

She provided us a great schedule for the baby, which we have more or less kept to even after she had left, and was very prompt in cleaning all of baby's stuff. I also appreciated how she would always offer a recommendation instead of forcing a routine onto me, giving me options for how I wanted to tackle certain ways of doing things.

Most importantly, I can see how much Aunty Tong loved my baby. In everything she did, I could feel the love she put into it, which gave me a lot of confidence. I trusted her so much that in the 2nd month, my husband and I felt safe to leave baby alone with her.

I would definitely recommend Aunty Tong as a confinement nanny!
