Noreen was my postnatal client in Cork, Ireland. She is in a multicultural marriage with an Irish-Pakistani husband. She gave birth by a planned caesarean section (C-section).

Noreen had no food allergies or dietary restrictions, which made meal planning much easier. Her husband is a doctor, so he was able to keep an eye on her C-section wound during her recovery.

When I first met baby Rania, she was crying a lot. However, from the first time I held her, we quickly built a lovely bond.

Throughout my support, I prepared a variety of healthy meals to help with wound healing, restore energy, and support her recovery.

My daily responsibilities included:

* Preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

* Providing postnatal herbal baths, massage and hot stone therapy.

* Supporting her recovery after a planned C-section.

* Supporting exclusive breastfeeding.

* Caring for baby while her mother rested.

Baby Rania was born healthy. One of my favourite moments was singing to her. I loved seeing her respond to music with curiosity and joy. She was an alert and responsive baby. Sometimes, her grandfather and I carried her around the house, introducing her to different sounds and natural light.

Noreen was committed to exclusive breastfeeding, which also helped her to reshape quickly! In the beginning, her milk supply was low, but she never gave up. I supported her by preparing meals with natural milk-boosting ingredients. After four weeks, her uterus had contracted well, and her abdomen appeared much flatter as her postnatal recovery progressed.

Some more, the breastfeeding helped her build a close bond with Rania.

At the end of the confinement period, I performed a traditional floral bath as a closure. I encourage to all clients to not escaping floral bath, to keep the harmony in the marriage & strengtening the loves between husband & wife. Thank you to the husband for finding flowers in seven different colours for this ritual.
