Bad Nanny experience
*BEWARE OF THIS NANNY*
To everyone out there who are looking for a nanny pls becareful. I would like to share with you all my experience with her in my home together with my newborn son, 4yo daughter and a helper.
This nanny requested me to give her SGD $2000 deposit because I requested for her to do 2 months for me. (She said because SGD $1000 deposit for each month) Her job scope was simple. She don’t have to cook my confinement food (because I order tingkat and we provide her meals), she don’t have to do my housework at home (because my helper will take care of the house). All she need to do was to take care and watch my newborn baby 24 hours.
The following are based on facts, my honest reviews:
1. She walked in my house with drooling sweat and smell with a bad body odour. She is big size and carrying a very big dirty luggage.
2. She asked my helper to clean her luggage and luggage’s wheels. (It’s not my helper’s job to do that!)
3. I told her to bathe and change to new clothes before she carry my newborn baby but she told me she tired to wash her own clothes so to prevent that she continue wearing her outside dirty clothes. She insisted that she is clean and tidy. (When she sweat so much and has a body odour!)
4. She was so choosy with her meals. Infront of me, she told me she is ok with anything. But secretly behind me she asked my helper to packed for her specific meals that’s costly.
5. Night feed, she carried my newborn baby (only 3 days old) to make milk tgt. One hand carry my baby and another hand holding the milk bottle to pour hot water (so dangerous, may even burnt or drop my baby!) I have a cctv footage of her doing that!
6. Night duties, this nanny had a hard time making my newborn baby to sleep. She even asked my helper to take over her job at 1am to carry my newborn baby while she use her phone! (Nanny got caught red handed by me!)
7. She came menses. She stained my sofa and dinning chair. She did not clean it the menses blood and insisted my helper to clean the blood stained for her! (It stinks and still has the stain up till now! So I had to change a new sofa and chair!)
After having such bad experience for 1 week, I don’t feel comfortable and safe of her looking after my newborn baby and I don’t feel safe of her being at my house.
I told the nanny that she is not suitable to be with us and told her she should leave. But I gave her 1 more night to stay first and we even provided her breakfast the next day before she left.
I requested her to return me my deposit! But she didn’t want to return me.. Nobody work 1 week only for SGD $2000. am I right?!
Please advice.
