Utterly disappointing experience. Does not seem like the agency does proper training and vetting of the nannies. My assigned Nanny has a pleasant personality, is receptive to feedback and is easy to get along with, but is otherwise not a good Nanny. Did not ask for replacement as I thought situation would improve after constant feedback to agency.
Website states that nannies get trained on 'confinement diet planning and understanding of traditional Chinese medicine and breastfeeding'. Evidently not the case for my assigned Nanny. She has little basic understanding on cooking and using ingredients/ varying methods of cooking to create different tastes. Soups taste the same as she uses only pork ribs (had to tell her what to add just so the soup would be more nourishing).
Week 1 - added minced meat and mushroom in every single dish for every meal, so every dish tasted the same. Provided feedback to agency.
Week 2- Acknowledges she can't differentiate between different cuts of meat. Husband/ mom had to step in to cook almost every meal. Acknowledges she doesn't know how to cut chicken (not even drumstick into smaller pieces).
Week 3 - requested for a replacement and gave thorough feedback to agency, but agency did not seem keen in any improvement/resolution on their end. Received an ' ok noted' response. Eventually decided against replacement as I didn't want the Nanny to be penalized for something the agency should have been accountable for.
Nanny is also not experienced in caring for baby. Not adept in changing diapers, rarely manages to soothe baby. Again, she cannot be held accountable if it was the agency who was responsible for training her.
Don't know what I've paid for. Disappointed that I can't write a better review.
