Almost there . . .
Bad experience with Nanny Tan Lay Hoon #1734.
We had the impression that PEM nannies are well trained but we were proved otherwise.
On the first night, my husband learned how to take care of the baby and from the second night onwards, she will bring the baby to us whenever the baby is crying. So we offered to take over nights so that she can have more energy to take care of the baby in the day. So on that night she went to bed at 9pm and woke up at 6am the next morning and best thing is she did not even wake up in between to and ask if we needed any help. She will dump washed baby's laundry on the bed and walk off without folding them expecting us to fold it on our own and her excuse is she don't know where to keep them and she doesn't fold them at her other employers place.
Hygiene wise is very poor!! She doesn't wash her hand after throwing trash into the rubbish chute and went straight to handle baby. Bottles were always washed in less than 1 minute and will always have milk smell after washing.
Cooking is always repetitive for 28 days which is not even confinement standard at all. Cooking is based on her convenience and her liking I believe. On one day, dinner was noodles with minced meat only and had to request for her to cook eggs to pair with the noodle. Food is very salty with no ginger on most days.
She will start preparing dinner at 2pm everyday even when I requested to have dinner at 7pm. She will finish cooking dinner at 3pm and keep all the dish in the rice cooker to keep it warm.
Given that her job scope is to only cook and to care for baby, she had ample of time to rest but she preferred to play with her phone. She spends most of the time on the phone, on many occasions we saw her talking on the phone while feeding baby but when we see her, she will quickly hang up the call and pretend to talk to baby after.
She kept bugging me to leave her a review on Facebook so that she will get cash reward from PEM.
Decided not to request for change of nanny because we were too tired to readapt again with another new nanny.
