Will not recommend Nanny Chua Kam Thai / Nanny Grace.
1) Overfed our baby. We kept telling her not to feed the baby too much milk and follow doctor’s feeding guidelines. She is extremely stubborn and refused to listen for the whole month. We told her exactly how much to feed. But no, she thinks she knows better than Doctor. She despises feeding baby 30-70ml becos she is lazy. Doesn’t want to keep up with high frequency feeding.
She also cannot stand baby crying. Tends to use crying as excuse that baby is hungry. Doesn’t understand how milk amount is counted using formula. Yet, still doesn’t follow instructions despite us telling her nicely 5+ times.
She is also the type that cannot scold, but tell her nicely she also cannot follow instructions. Basically, she is a bad employee and very disrespectful of previous employers and their practices
2) pressed baby’s gum. She did not inform us before doing this to our poor baby. Not scientific and caused our poor baby to have blunt gums at the front compared to the back and top…
3) dishonest. She burnt quite a few of our pots and pans and ladles. Instead of telling us, she hid it from us.
4) cannot listen to employer instructions and always insist on her own ways.
5) keeps imagining that people are spying on her, ex-employers are monitoring her phone. Just short of crazy
6) Can cook decent Chinese food but food is full of sugar and oil. She used 2 bottles of oil in 1 month..
7) sows discord between employer and our helper. Telling helper that they can’t sleep once she leaves etc.
8) food is provided for whole family including helper but she keeps expensive food for herself without sharing with owners and others.
9) over rides / does not respect decisions - she will go to other people in the family and ask them again on the same thing to get her way. Does not respect the person who hired her in the family.
10) cannot accept feedback / cannot listen to instructions.
11) doesn’t want to turn on AC. She’s cold.. even though baby is warm.
12) insist on using pacifiers.
13) makes you buy a lot of things or going behind your back and asking other people in the family to buy things.
Plus points
1) she cooks 3 meals a day. Lots of variation. And overall good taste but can be very oily and sweet…
2) baby is clean. She cleans baby when she poos and pees well.
3) did not mistreat baby overall.
