Finally my confinement is over only dare to share here..
Just sharing.
Please beware of this confinement lady Shirley Hoo from Perak.
I hired her for 40 days and my confinement started on 6 September. She requested to leave on 8 September midnight 3am+ when I'm waking up to pump milk.
Not only that she is disrespectful to us, she also looks down on us as we do not have helper with us, she always brags about her previous boss whom she still regard as her boss as she always intro new job for her. She kept mentioning how well those mummies that she has always received return ang pao of $300+ when leaving. We are so regret to give her coming ang pao of $50. As we feel that it mean for good start and monitor how she work before deciding the go home ang pao. My hubby willing to pay her more if she can do a good confinement for me as I did not do well during my #1 time due to lousy CL as it was hired by my mum thus this time round I'm paying double effort by asking around for recommended CL.
Reasons why I DO NOT recommend this confinement lady:
• Refuse to record down baby milk intake and time and poop and nagging me stress her and she not able to take care our bb. (use this as reason to leave even we said too sudden to find new CL we can take over taking care bb she still refused.)
• According to her she never using syringe to feed baby before on the 3rd day even though she told us how experience she is and able to do any way of feeding when I'm calling to interview her. (PD requesting syringe feed for the 1st month).
• Refuse to change bb diapers as for her must wait pee few times before can change for bb and very rough in wipe bb butt till bad rashes but blaming pampers premium are bad brand to use.
• Always claiming not enough rest when she rest in the afternoon from 3pm to almost 6pm. And complaining her legs pain.
• To my horror I saw bb puke some milk out she quickly lie bb head down force to swallow milk back. I was so scared bb got hurt by the choking milk. I saw it when walk pass but she claimed I'm watching after and she want to quit to go back sitiawan.
• We asking her what herbs and the quantity of red dates drink to prepare for confinement she just said whatever we buy she will make for me so we thought just get whatever I want to eat and she offer to cook for my hubby and daughter during phone interview claiming she is wash going person unlike other CL. But she asking them to eat my food I thought abit should be fine omg my hub feel heaty and my daughter got fever the next day. She cooked for them for one dinner the following day but that midnight said she too tired to work for me. When she told me before accepting the job in March that she usually cooked for the whole family but when at my place only for my hub and dau she asking to eat confinement food claiming got fish for veggie they can eat. For me if can't cook during phone interview she should voice out.
• She keeps telling me my bb don't have jaundice when I told her before discharge there is mild jaundice and review visit it speed up then she blaming my milk blaming she got 老花 can't see clearly.
• She never clean kitchen after cook making whole kitchen so oily till the day she leave my hub mop his own and wash our clothes.
• She wash and hang wet clothes on top on kitchen sharing with her all my mummies friend their cl hand wash their bb clothes.
. Refused to let bb wear booties and mitten so I'm putting on for bb but she removed it unless it go new expensive with smaller in size for nb bb only she will wear it for bb. Claiming her previous boss got it from kidding Palace those expensive mittens.
• To my horror again she not happy and told me off you want me to hand wash I'll hand wash but she hang wet clothes on top of kitchen there without spin dry the clothes. Before asking to do she mixed bb clothes with adults working clothes to wash in washing machine after working for 2 days claiming not much clothes. When I thought not much bb clothes as she change one daytime clothes for bb after shower never shower or wipe bb in the evening.
• On her last day she shouted on me to check on herbs claiming she never steal anything and before leaving the house asking my hub to check her bag claimed she never steal anything in very bad tone.
• When she told me she do 3 days is to clear the $300 deposit that she took from me. We told her we can take care bb ourselves asking her to continue as it is too last min to hire replacement cl but she just refused and eventually she no choice and told me that she got new job and will work 2 months there with the of helper. So it is mean she got plan to just work for 3 days even before she came into Singapore from Perak. I felt so cheated. And got a bad cl. She told us she got the bus ticket at 3pm to go back sitiawan when there is no such timing to go back sitiawan as it is either morning or night bus back sitiawan.
• Always have 101 reason when we asking her something. Always said her ex boss how well and how well she did. And bad mouth some other family.
So anyone looking to hire a freelance confinement nanny, please take note and beware of this woman even though I got it from a friend's friend recommendation.
