Mummy Warns About Unethical Nannies, Poor Hygiene, and Lack of Privacy

I would like to share my experience on confinement nannies. Recently there has been many cases where confinement nannies were not up to par or rather inexperienced I would say. During interviews, they would always describe themselves as experienced and helpful but the actual fact turned out to be otherwise.

I myself had such bad experience before dealing with a nanny who didn't really meet my expectations. She could cook but the rest of the work wasn't really done well (ie. laundry and cleaning). Apart from that, she was quite unhygienic....using the same small towel to clean the baby's tongue as well as to clean up the buttock of the baby. Would you use the same towel where you have used it to clean up your anus and then clean your mouth? I doubt so! Well, I did post up the article here last month on her but the she has called and has threatened me to remove it, else she would write about my family story for everyone to read....which is very UNETHICAL! How can we trust such person? What my family members do at home, she discloses it to her family. Which I find there's no sense of security for hiring such person. A confinement nanny ought to respect the privacy of other people. She has even mentioned a few times she knows what I worked as. What does that imply? THREATENING ME??

Also, stories from my friends on their confinement nannies. One of my friend was being cooked fried rice almost everyday for lunch. Another of my friend was being cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner in the morning and the food was being placed in the fridge for my friend to heat up later to be consumed for lunch and dinner. The confinement nanny should know that during the confinement month, we ought to have freshly cooked food and not pre-heated food.

Noticed most of the nannies these days doesn't really help out in basic cleaning (ie. sweeping and mopping). All they do is to ask you to engage a part-time cleaner for the cleaning to be done. Is this the norm now?

Please, I would like to highlight to those of you who wanted to engage confinement nannies through websites, please think twice. I suggest to hire nannies through friend's recommendations. A lot of these nannies could not be trusted these days and paying RM4K to RM5K for 28 days is just not worth it.
