My confinement nanny abandoned us after 2 days!
Phew, it's been a tiring 2 weeks since my boy Adriel was born.
Especially after what happened to us...
Our confinement nanny from a supposedly established agency said she had a migraine after 2 days and would stop working. All these in a morning's notice.
Even though she said that, we suspected that she didn't like the living arrangements and just wanted to bail. After all, how do you get migraines after 2 days of work, especially as a confinement nanny who's used to weird hours?
Worse still, she didn't tell us directly, but rather called the HR of the agency, who then called us on the phone while we were on the visit to the PD. Slimy.
Either way, we decided not to replace her, and for 2 days, Chui Laam and I had to step up and learn quickly how to parent our precious infant.
It's been quite the journey, learning how to change diapers, coax the baby, burp the baby, carry the baby right, understanding his sleep/eat/poop schedule and most of all having real sleepless nights.
Some days, I even forget what day of the week I'm at already!
But thanks to great friends, we managed to find support in this season and also blessings of love in the form of gifts and texts of checking-in.
Just want to thank everyone who wished me in the previous post and also the friends that sent me little gifts here and there. And especially those that came all the way down to give us a semblance of our social lives. Haha.
Business is definitely affected, without the time to create content, speak to my partners, and really, just thinking straight and strategically.
But thank God for His grace, I've made what I wanted to make this year already. Right now, I'm mostly focused on longer-term projects that are not urgent, but important.
But after you have a child and gaze upon him, you kinda know why it's all worth it. It's not something to be explained, but experienced.
A few of you asked for baby pics, and so I'll just put one or two. I understand the irritation by some people who think new parents keep putting up baby pics, so you won't see too much of it.. for now! haha.
