Full Complaint Details

This company fails in their duty of care to check the quality of the nannies in their team and neglects to seek feedback from the mummy to address serious issues.

I experienced hell with both the first AND second (replacement) nannies. I’m writing a review here as the feedback form from the company that was supposed to be provided was never even sent to me.

The first nanny had several issues, but the worst was her appalling hygiene. Whenever I checked, baby’s clothes were almost always smeared with a lot of poop or pus, but she would still continue to button him up and swaddle him to hide the stains. Moreover, we have a container that we use to wash baby’s butt, and she kept using water from it (that was not changed) to wipe baby’s mouth. Additionally, she kept leaving dirty wipes smeared with poop all over his cot and changing table instead of throwing it in the bin. Furthermore, the kitchen was always left in a very dirty and unwashed state after she used it, and the last straw was when I suffered food poisoning.

The replacement nanny was a nightmare with many complex issues. The worst of which, was when she theatrically held my baby as a “hostage” over a non-issue and not letting me take baby, while speaking to me aggressively. Basically, she wanted to “establish territory” all the time and demand her way in everything. She was exceptionally lazy, and did not want to change baby’s diaper on an as-needed basis (she wanted the diaper to be really full before changing, instead of changing it after every poop). She got upset at me for changing baby’s diapers myself (I had to as she left baby to lie in his soiled diapers!) and flatly refused to boil herbal bath water or red dates tea for me. She even lied to my MIL that I had given instructions that I did not want to bathe in herb water or drink red dates tea. This was in spite of the fact that she did not even have to cook as confinement food was by now catered for me (I was traumatised after the food poisoning). She spent the majority of her time sleeping and on the phone, cocooned in the duvet with air-con switched on day and night.

I am truly disappointed and frustrated with the irresponsible behaviour of the company and the nannies. Even though I had shelled out extra for an experienced nanny, I was sent nannies who were obviously inexperienced and did not match the standards that they were advertised for (I am not a first-time mother). There was sadly no peace nor rest during my confinement, and I was ironically less stressed when the confinement nannies left.
