Saw their post and I decided I had to disclose mine too.
We hired our confinement nanny through an agency: T*M Confinement Nanny Agency Pte Ltd
Chanced upon it during the 29th June 2918 baby fair at Expo.
We shortlisted them considering they have 2 times replacement (foc) and their office (Woodlands) is near our house.
The colleague (El*ine) of the lady (W*ndy) we spoke to, came to meet me at my home on 12th July 2018. She promised to reserved a very experienced nanny for us.
I gave birth to Jervelle approx. 1.5 weeks (8th Nov 2018) earlier than my EDD (19th Nov 2018) during an emergency cesarean because she was breech and the amniotic fluid was low.
When I knew I was going to be admitted and give birth on the very day, I informed the agency about it as soon as I could.
I told the lady in charge (W*ndy) that I would be discharged on 11th Nov 2018. She said she would arrange a nanny to be at my home around 2pm.
Upon reaching home and first time meeting this nanny (小凤姐), she looks quite fierce to me. And her voice was kind of loud. She told us that the agency only engaged her just few days before 11th Nov 2018. So I supposed they informed her on 8th Nov 2018. It seems like she wasn't the "reserved" nanny for me. I was thinking to myself, it should be due to I gave birth earlier than my EDD and they had no choice but to engage someone else.
When she first handled Jervelle, I realised that she has a bad habit of touching the sole of her feet and did not wash her hands and she would continued handling Jervelle. Everyone who knows me knew I had OCD, but I just tolerated thinking it's ok if she were to take good care of my baby girl.
She is very intrusive too, always prying into my domestic affairs. Honestly I find that she should just do her job well and not poking too much into my domestic affairs.
I had more than 10 new milk bottles for Jervelle and told her she could use all and sterilise one shot after all feeds. But she told me she would only need 2. Well, being a first time mum, I take her word for it. Later on, I realised that I had never seen her using the steriliser. I did not want to jump to conclusion so I asked my helper. She verified she had not seen her using it too.
I had to check all the CCTVs and realised that she sterilise once in the morning only. And after every feed, she would rinse the milk bottle only. Look carefully, she ONLY rinsed the milk bottles with water. I had new bottle brush, new teat brush and baby accessories & vege liquid cleanser for her. Told her to use it, she said ok. But never use at all. Jervelle is just a newborn and I cannot imagine if the bottles wasn't cleaned or sterilised.
So me and my mum questioned her and she said that she would use the hot boiled water to rinsed the bottles. But is that even gonna remove the formula milk residue? Anyways, she promised to follow our method of using brushes with cleanser after each feed and sterilise all bottles and teats after all feeds.
My Nov EDD mummy support group described me as a security guard because I had not been sleeping well due to every other time, I am checking the CCTVs making sure she carried out the washing of bottles satisfactorily.
To my astonishment, she did not use the brushes and cleanser during all the night feeds. I sent all the video clips to El*ine (14th Nov 2018) and asked her to do a replacement by the next day.
When the replacement nanny (Mdm Chong) came (15th Nov 2018), my first impression of her was she's full of grandmotherly feel. But later I found out that she is another nosy confinement nanny. When my mum called my dad, she would comment on their personal stuffs which I find abit unprofessional.
After 2 weeks of her service one night, my dad saw her putting Jervelle's pacifier into her mouth before putting into Jervelle's mouth. We believed that she wanted Jervelle to take her saliva in order to listen to her. Because Jervelle has got colic and at times, her murder cries are annoying. And it's a challenge putting her to sleep.
I then check back the CCTVs and found out that she's been handling my baby very violently during the night for feeds and diaper change. She would just pick Jervelle up by her arms and did not support her neck. Her neck is so fragile, she is not even a month old. And she would pull Jervelle's feet by a distance away from her to herself on the bed.
CCTV footages sent (28th Nov 2018) to the agencies and both partners (El*ine & W*ndy) said it's not clear. I sent to my mummy support group and they all can see clearly what Mdm Chong had done to Jervelle. I then ask for immediate termination of their services.
They still had the cheek to ask me to pay them prorated till 28th Nov 2018. Of course I am more than willing to pay but I just felt cheated since both of their confinement nannies sucks big time. They should be the one compensating me for my security services reviewing CCTVs so diligently and also pay my baby medical fee since the 2nd nanny handled my baby so violently.
Sorry for the long winded post but I've already cut short so much, did not go into small details.
